Padgett Building & Remodeling
Kitchen Remodeling by Padgett Building & Remodeling in Swansea, IL
Kitchens · Swansea, IL

Kitchen remodeling built around how your family really lives.

The kitchen is the room your family actually lives in. It is where the homework happens, where the holidays start, and where everybody ends up no matter how big the house is. We rebuild it around the way you really cook and gather, not a showroom photo. We remodel kitchens for families across Swansea, Belleville, O'Fallon, and the wider Metro East.

Why Padgett

No shortcuts, where it matters most.

A kitchen touches plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, and finish carpentry all at once, which is exactly where shortcuts hide. One Padgett project manager stays on your kitchen from the first measurement to the final reveal, so the trades are coordinated and you always know who is in your home and when.

A typical kitchen timeline

What four to eight weeks looks like.

Every kitchen is different, but most full remodels move through the same four phases. We give you the real dates at your consultation and keep you posted at every step.

1Weeks 1–2

Design & order

We finalize the layout, lock your selections, and order cabinetry and counters so nothing stalls once we start.

2Week 2–3

Demo & rough-in

Out with the old, then plumbing and electrical get moved and updated behind the walls while everything is open.

3Weeks 3–6

Cabinets & counters

Cabinets go in, counters are templated and set, and the backsplash, flooring, and lighting come together.

4Final week

Finish & reveal

Fixtures, hardware, and the punch list, then a walkthrough together before you cook the first meal in it.

Bigger layout changes or structural work can add time. You will know that up front, never as a surprise.

Good questions

Answers before you ask.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Most full kitchen remodels run four to eight weeks once demolition begins, depending on the size of the space and any structural or layout changes. We give you a realistic timeline at your free consultation and keep you posted at every step.

Will I be without a kitchen the whole time?

For most of the project, yes, the kitchen is out of service. We help you plan a temporary setup and we sequence the work so the down time is as short as the job allows.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. When a kitchen project needs permits for plumbing, electrical, or structural work, we pull them and coordinate the inspections so it is done right and on the record.

Thinking about your kitchen project?

Tell us what you are picturing. We will come out, walk your space, and give you an honest plan and price, free of charge.
